Banana Upside Down Cake

 INGREDIENTS:4 bananas, sliced3/4 cup brown sugar1/2 cup unsalted butter1 cup all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon baking soda1/8 teaspoon salt1/2 cup granulateDIRECTIONS:Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).In a 9-inch cake pan, melt 1/4 cup butter and add brown sugar, stirring until combined. Arrange banana slices on top of the sugar mixture.In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.In another bowl, cream together 1/4 cup butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and ending with flour mixture. Pour batter over bananas in the pan.Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
